Steinway Grand Pianos for the Grieg Hall and Håkon’s Hall in Bergen.
The grand pianos were chosen by pianist Leif Ove Andsnes based on the distinctive characteristics of the two concert venues. The grand piano in the Grieg Hall was gifted to Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in 2012, while the instrument in the Håkon’s Hall is from 2016 and is owned by Bergen City Museum.
Håkon’s Hall is an important venue for Bergen International Festival, which will benefit greatly from the new grand piano during the annual festival.
