K.G. Jebsen Centres for Medical Research finalists 2023
The finalists in this year’s competition for new K.G. Jebsen Centres for Medical Research have been selected. Seven initiatives made it through the fierce competition and are invited to interviews in November. The initiatives are led by: Lars A. Akslen (UiB), Yvonne Böttcher (UiO), Per Kristian Eide (UiO), Bjørn Tore Gjertsen (UiB), Bente Halvorsen (UiO), William Louch (UiO) and Ulrik Wisløff (NTNU).
The Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Committee, which has followed the K.G. Jebsen Centres for Medical Research program from the start, considers the quality of this year’s 15 applications to be very high. It is gratifying to be able to note the continued great interest in the program which has so far contributed to establishing a total of 24 centres in collaboration with medical faculties and university hospitals, all with research topics that the faculties and health institutions themselves have prioritized.
The result of the evaluation process is expected in December 2023.
