Stiftelsen Kristian Gerhard Jebsen is established to honour the memory of Kristian Gerhard Jebsen and his contribution to Norwegian and international shipping and business.
The Foundation contacts potential partners itself. This applies to all kinds of projects. In this way, the Foundation’s funds can be put to effective use in projects that are in line with the foundation’s objectives and our partners’ strategies and priorities.

Tre nye K.G. Jebsen sentre får 75 millioner kroner til forskning på fedme, kreft og autoimmune sykdommer
Stiftelsen Kristian Gerhard Jebsen tildeler tre nye medisinske forskningssentre 25 millioner kroner hver. Midlene skal styrke forskningen på fedme, kreft og autoimmune sykdommer. To av sentrene etableres ved Universitetet i Oslo og ett ved Universitetet i Bergen.
Ny leder for K. G. Jebsen Akademi for yngre forskere
Brooke Wolford blir ny leder for Akademiet og overtar for tidligere leder Svein Støve. Wolford vant også prisen for beste publikasjon på årets høstsamling til SKGJ medisinske sentre.

Since its inception, the Foundation has established 26 KG Jebsen centres for medical research in collaboration with Norwegian universities and university hospitals
The Foundation is active in the maritime and marine field and has so far established two different research centres: the K.G. Jebsen Centre for the Law of the Sea and the K.G. Jebsen Centre for Deep Sea Research.
It is also part of the Foundation’s objective to contribute to social initiatives that promote the development of society and help to protect the environment.
Stiftelsen har bidratt til etablering av lærings- og konferansesenteret Kristian Gerhard Jebsen-senteret ved Norges Handelshøyskole.
