Rescue vessel RS 163 Kristian Gerhard Jebsen II

In 2016, the Foundation signed an agreement with the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue for the donation of a new rescue vessel of the Petter C.G. Sundt class, RS 163. The vessel will primarily be stationed in Bergen. In Bergen, RS 163 will succeed RS 137 Kristian Gerhard Jebsen, which was donated by the shipping company Kristian Gerhard Jebsen. RS 137 will be transferred to a new station in Southern Norway once RS 163 becomes operational.

RS 163 was christened in Bergen on 28 April 2017 at an event that attracted large crowds in the city.
