The K. G. Jebsen Academy for Young Medical Researchers

The Academy for young medical researchers aims to promote talented young researchers and to enhance collaborations between the K.G. Jebsen Centres for Medical Research. 

 The academy supports young, talented researchers and contributes to their future career opportunities. Stiftelsen K.G. Jebsen aims for better utilization of research resources and strengthening the prospects for recruitment to translational research through its contribution to the program. The academy offers support to its members through meetings and networking, where the focus is on opportunities for collaboration, research leadership, career development and grant writing, with an emphasis on European funding. The academy has its own website with more information and a full presentation of its members. 

 

The K. G. Jebsen Center for Genetic Epidemiology at NTNU coordinates the K.G. Jebsen Academy for Young Medical Researchers for a four-year period. The Academy is led by Asgeir Kobro-Flatmoen and Ellen Røyrvik (deputy leader).  A steering group consisting of the project manager, a representative from the foundation’s advisory committee and 2 representatives from the academy members is responsible for the implementation of the program.
