Kick-off K.G. Jebsen-center for obesity research

The opening of the new K.G. Jebsen Centre for Obesity Research (CORA) took place at Akershus University Hospital on 21 August. Senior management at Ahus, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo, and the CEO of Stiftelsen Kristian Gerhard Jebsen  conveyed their best wishes to the centre. Centre Director Yvonne Böttcher (University of Oslo and Akershus University Hospital) and Deputy Director, Professor and Senior Consultant Jøran Hjelmesæth (University of Oslo and Vestfold Hospital), together with the research teams, will be working alongside international experts from both Leipzig (Matthias Blüher) and Helsinki (Annette Horstmann) over the next five years. Patients’ needs are represented through the participation of Landsforeningen for overvektige (LFO) and its chair, Mari-Mette Graff, shared her perspective in an engaging speech.
